Notification regarding transfer of Diploma students

A new notification is published by WEST BENGAL STATE NGIL OF TEGHNIGAL &

VOGATIONAL EDUGATION & SKILL DEVELOPMENT regarding transfer of colleges. As per notification-

transler of diploma students from one Government/Government sponsored polytechnic to another Government/Government

sponsored polytechnic, the Council has decided to introduce online system to facilitate submission of transfer

prayer by the students. Details of the transfer modalities are furnished below.

• Online application portal for transfer will be activated in the Council's website, www.webscte.org in the month of February.
• The application portal will remain active for a period of one month,
• Transfer will be allowed based on rank in JEXPO/VOCLET and preference of choice of polytechnic.
• Transfer will be aliowed against remaining vacant seats only.
• No branch transfer will be allowed.
• Only registered and regular students will be allowed transfer. Respective polytechnics have to ensure registration and regularity of a transfer seeker before validation ofhis/her online transfer application.
• No transfer of student will be allowed from or to Darjeeling Polytechnic as from admission point of view, it is a standalone polytechnic.
• Transfer from one self-financed polytechnic to another self-financed polytechnic is not allowed.
• Applicants have to upload photo, signature and scanned documents (as mentioned in the application form)with the application.
• Concerned polytechnics have to validate each and every valid online transfer application through Institute login. Otherwise, online applications will not reach the central database.
• Institute login shall remain active forvalidation of online applications tentatively for a period of 7 days from the last date of online application.
• Transfer applications without genuine and valid ground [s) will not be entertained.
• After validation of online transfer applications by the respective polytechnics, individual students have to take aprintout of the whole set application and submit the same to his/her polytechnic.
• Respective polytechnics have to authenticate all received transfer applications and submit those to the office of the Council at Karigari Bhavan, Ralarhat, Kolkata-700160.
• No transfer application after the specified period will be entertained.
• Transf'er order with list of transferees will be mailed to all concerned polytechnics.
• Concerned polytechnics shall display the list oftransferred students on the notice boards,
• Transfer memo to the students by the respective Polytechnics shall be issued only after completion of 2nd/4th semester examinations on receipt of written consent from the individual transferees.

Application for transfer does not necessarily ensure transfer of a student, Without having sufficient and

valid ground(s), proper rank in ]EXPO/VOCLET and above all, availability of vacancies, transf'er shall not be allowed.

This has approval of the competent authority of the Council.
