প্রায় 2.3 লাখ নিয়োগের সম্ভবনা রেলে আবারও বড় ঘোষনা করল রেল মন্ত্রক। প্রায় ২ লক্ষ ৩০ হাজার নিয়োগে সম্ভবনা ভারতীয় রেলে, টুইটারে ঘোষনা করলেন রেলমন্ত্রী। প্রথম দফায় ১ লক্ষ্য ৩১ হাজার ৪২৮ জন নিয়োগ করা হবে। বিজ্ঞপ্তি আসতে পারে ফ্রেব্রুয়ারী বা মার্চ মাসে। এবং দ্বিতীয় দফার বিজ্ঞপ্তি আসবে ২০২০ সালের মে – জুন নাগাদ। এবং সাথে উচ্চবর্নের  ১০ শতাংশ সংরক্ষন কোটা মেনে নিয়ে নিয়োগ শুরু করবে রেল মন্ত্রক। আর এই সংরক্ষনের ফলে প্রায় ২৩ হাজার জনের চাকরী হবে বলে মনে করছে রেল। বর্তমান রেলে ১২ লক্ষ্য কর্মচারী কাজ করেন। আগামী দু’বছরে প্রায় ১ লক্ষ কর্মচারী অবসর নেবেন। ১.৫ লক্ষ্য নিয়োগের প্রক্রিয়া চলছে। রেল মন্ত্রী পীষুস গোয়েল টুইট করে জানান, ” গত বছর আমরা দেঢ় লক্ষ্য নিয়োগ প্রক্রিয়া শুরু করেছিলাম। আগামী দু’বছরে রেলে নানা পদে ৪ লক্ষ্য কর্ম সংস্থান হবে।
