A scholarship is not just a financial support but also an encouragement for the talented students who have to suppress their dreams due to lack of money. There are a number of scholarships provided by the government, public institutes and private institutes. There are different scholarships like merit-based, need-based, student-specific, college-specific and career-specific.

Indian Oil Academic Scholarship

IndianOil (IOCL) offers 2000 scholarships to the deserving candidates to help them complete class 11 and 12. Qualifying students get a scholarship of Rs. 1000 per month for two years.

Scholarship Amount

With an amount of Rs. 1000 per month for two years, the total value of IOCL scholarship goes Rs. 24,000.

Eligibility

Students wishing to get admission in class 11 in schools recognized by State School Education Boards/ State Govt. / ICSE/ ISC/ CBSE/ Central Govt. can only apply for this scholarship
Students should have got at least 60 percent marks in 10th board exams to be eligible for this scholarship
Cross Joint income of the family of the applicants should not be more than Rs. 1,00,000 per annum.

Students can apply for Indian Oil Academic Scholarship for class 10th students on its official website.

Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship

This scholarship is formally known as ‘Merit cum Means’ scholarship provided by West Bengal state govt. Students who were passed their last examination with at least 75% marks are eligible for this scholarship. The scholarship amount depends on the course. For Madhyamik passed students the scholarship amount is RS 6000/-.

From last year the application for this scholarship was started online. Online application for Swami Vivekananda Scholarship scheme will start from June 2018. The minimum family annual income must not exceed RS 80,000/- for receiving this scholarship.


Sitaram Jindal Scholarship Programme

Sitaram Jindal Foundation providing post matric scholarship for students who are studying on Higher Secondary, Graduation Degree, Engineering, MBA, MBBS etc. For applying these scholarship students must have to score 75% on the last examination. The application is done through the offline method. Download the application form and send it to the mentioned address.The application process will start from July to August.


Chief Minister Relief Fund Scholarship

West Bengal Chief Minister Relief Fund providing the scholarship for economically weaker students. For applying this scholarship candidate must have scored more than 60% marks in the last examination. Annual family income does not exceed ₹60,000/-. The awarded scholarship amount is ₹10,000/-. There is no last date to apply.

Post Matric Scholarship (for Minority Students)

This scholarship will be awarded by West Bengal Minority development authority to the Minority students who score at least 55% marks in last final examination. The application is done through online only. The scholarship amount per annual is ₹6000/- or more. The application starts from July to August.

Post Matric Scholarship (for SC/ST/OBC)

This scholarship provided by West Bengal State Govt. to the SC, ST and OBC candidates for their higher study. Students who are score at least 50%, in last final exam are eligible for this scholarship. The application is done through online.

KC Mahindra Scholarship scheme

KC Mahindra group providing the scholarship for students who are taking admission in diploma courses in India. The application will be done through offline. For more details visit the following their website.

G.P. Birla Foundation Scholarship Scheme

G.P. Birla Educational Foundation provides scholarships to the students who are recently passed Higher Secondary examination with at least 80% marks. This scholarship is available for the college students. Total Rs. 50,000 per year will be awarded for this scholarship.
